Services


All courses at NTRP are designed as private one-on-one training sessions that take place on weekends.  The learning tempo in private training is fast, dynamic, and catered to you.  We offer shooting and reloading instruction.  Shooting instruction takes place at ETTS near Waxahachie, TX.  This is a 1200 yard range with multiple pistol and carbine bays.  The reloading instruction takes place near McKinney, TX in a formal climate controlled reloading room. Below are the courses we offer:


LONG-RANGE RIFLE 
(1 Day)

          This is a private one-day course that is designed for any level of shooter.  We will assess your level of experience and build your lesson plan based on your personal goals for the course.  Expect to be nudged out of your comfort zone during training so that you may experience what you’re really capable of with a rifle.

          The day starts with shooting your rifle through a chronograph and building your dope chart.  Proper shooting techniques such as preloading the bipod, trigger control, breathing, natural point of aim and recoil management is covered.  In depth instruction is given on the operation and use of optics.  Students will engage targets from 100 to 1200 yards.  Special emphasis is placed on ranging, dialing, reading wind, and connecting with the target. The student will learn how to spot his or her own shots and make corrections. 

           The training will progress and focus on barricade, positional shooting, and shooting under stress.  Special problem solving scenarios are presented to the student that requires resolution under time and in unnatural shooting positions.

RELOADING FOR LONG-RANGE RIFLE (2 Days)

This course is designed to teach the beginning reloader proper techniques of reloading. The student will learn the round components, cleaning, interpreting the manual, use of dies, assembling the rounds, and safety procedures. Topics will include uniforming primer pockets, flash hole deburring, measuring chamber length, seating bullets off rifle lands, ogive, load development, neck turning, chamber pressures, etc.  The course is designed to teach the shooter to make rounds that will maintain a minimum of 1 MOA of accuracy at distance.  Sub .5 MOA of accuracy is not uncommon. 

Day two of this course is field load development and is designed to take your precision rounds from the bench to the firing range. Proper basic bench/prone techniques will be taught to the student during this block of instruction. During the grouping stage the student will shoot his loads through a chronograph for group at 100 yards. The loads will be analyzed by grouping, extreme velocity spread, standard velocity deviation, etc. Most students find the load for their rifle in less than an hour.  The 2 day 12 hours course is $750.

RELOADING FOR HUNTING RIFLE

This course is designed to teach the beginning reloader proper techniques to make his or her own hunting ammunition.  Techniques are streamlined to quickly and effectively teach the student what works and what is important to harvest game with their own ammunition.  The student will learn the round components, cleaning, interpreting the manual, use of dies, assembling the rounds, and safety procedures.  Test ammunition will be assembled with the instructor for the client to test in his or her rifle.  The average client taking this course will be shooting their reloaded ammunition no further than 200 yards.  This is a private 4 hour class taught in the evenings Monday through Thursdays and on weekends.  This is reloading instruction only.  No range time is included.  $250



RELOADING FOR PISTOL

This course is designed to teach the beginning reloader proper techniques to make his or her own pistol ammunition.  The student will learn the round components, cleaning, interpreting the manual, use of dies, assembling the rounds, and safety procedures.  Test ammunition will be assembled with the instructor for the client to test in his or own pistol.  This is a private 4 hour class taught in the evenings Monday through Thursdays and on weekends.  This is reloading instruction only.  No range time is included.  $250
